Meryta sinclairii, commonly known as Puka, is a distinctive New Zealand native tree prized for its large, glossy, bright green leaves that give a bold, tropical feel to the landscape. Its broad foliage forms a lush canopy, making it an ideal choice for adding structure and year-round greenery to coastal or sheltered gardens. Slow-growing and tolerant of salt-laden winds, Puka thrives in mild, frost-free climates and makes a striking specimen tree or backdrop planting. Its strong architectural form and vibrant colour bring a sense of drama and elegance to any outdoor space.
