Lagerstroemia indica ‘Bergerac’

Elegant & Compact Growth: Lagerstroemia indica ‘Bergerac’ develops into an attractive deciduous tree with a naturally branching habit and a well-shaped crown. Its manageable size and ornamental form make it a versatile choice for gardens, streetscapes, courtyards, and feature planting.

Rich Pink Summer Flowers: During summer, the branches are decorated with generous clusters of vibrant pink flowers. The crinkled, delicate-looking petals create a lively display and bring strong colour to the garden during the warmer months.

Long-Lasting Summer Display: One of the standout features of ‘Bergerac’ is its extended flowering period. When many other ornamental trees have finished their spring displays, this crape myrtle provides a valuable splash of colour throughout summer.

Fresh Green Foliage: The attractive green leaves create a dense canopy during the growing season, providing a lush backdrop for the bright flowers. The foliage complements the tree’s fine branching and helps maintain a neat, ornamental appearance.

Beautiful Autumn Colour: As temperatures begin to cool, the foliage can develop attractive shades of yellow, orange, red, and bronze before falling. This seasonal transformation adds another layer of colour and interest to the landscape.

Attractive Bark & Winter Form: Once the leaves have dropped, the smooth, ornamental bark and intricate branching become more prominent. The developing trunk and branch structure give the tree appeal even outside its main flowering season.

Excellent Feature & Street Tree: A superb choice for lawns, garden beds, patios, entrances, driveways, streetscapes, and lifestyle properties. Its summer flowers, attractive structure, and manageable proportions make it an excellent ornamental specimen.

Sun-Loving & Heat Tolerant: Performs best in full sun with well-drained soil and regular moisture during establishment. Once settled, Lagerstroemia is well suited to warm conditions and rewards a sunny position with stronger flowering and healthy growth.

Colourful & Versatile: Lagerstroemia indica ‘Bergerac’ combines vibrant summer flowers, attractive foliage, autumn tones, and ornamental bark in one highly decorative tree. Its extended flowering season makes it a standout choice for adding colour and character to summer landscapes.
