Sequoia sempervirens ‘California Redwood’

Magnificent Evergreen Growth: California Redwood develops a tall, upright form with a strong central trunk and dense evergreen foliage. Its impressive stature and rich green colour create a powerful presence in the landscape.

Fine Textured Foliage: Soft, flat sprays of deep green foliage cover the branches, giving the tree an attractive layered appearance. The evergreen canopy provides colour and structure throughout the year.

Distinctive Redwood Bark: As the tree matures, the thick trunk develops striking reddish-brown bark with a fibrous, textured appearance. This adds character and visual interest, particularly during the cooler months.

Excellent Feature & Landscape Tree: An impressive choice for large gardens, lifestyle properties, parks, avenues, and open landscapes where there is ample room for a substantial tree to develop. Its tall, architectural form makes a memorable focal point.

Sun-Loving & Moisture Loving: California Redwood performs best in full sun to partial shade with fertile, deep, well-drained soil and reliable moisture. Consistent watering is particularly important while young and during extended dry periods.

Majestic & Long-Lived: Combining evergreen foliage, distinctive bark, rapid growth, and an impressive upright silhouette, California Redwood brings year-round structure and a sense of scale to spacious landscapes.
