Prunus yeodoensis ‘Perpendens’ — Weeping Yoshino Cherry

Elegant Weeping Habit: ‘Perpendens’ develops gracefully arching and cascading branches that form a distinctive flowing canopy. Its elegant structure makes it an outstanding feature tree for lawns, courtyards, and garden landscapes.

Beautiful Spring Blossom: In spring, the weeping branches are adorned with clusters of soft white to pale pink flowers, creating a spectacular display. The abundant blooms provide a beautiful focal point as the garden comes to life.

Fresh Green Foliage: After flowering, attractive green leaves emerge to create a lush canopy through spring and summer. The foliage provides a fresh backdrop to the tree’s graceful branching structure.

Excellent Feature Tree: A wonderful choice for lawns, entrances, courtyards, Japanese-inspired gardens, and specimen planting. Its cascading form is particularly effective when planted where the branches have space to develop naturally.

Sun-Loving & Easy Care: ‘Perpendens’ performs best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil and regular moisture during establishment. Occasional formative pruning can help maintain the desired shape and encourage a well-balanced canopy.

Graceful & Ornamental: Combining a distinctive weeping habit, spectacular spring flowers, attractive summer foliage, and strong winter structure, this ornamental cherry provides year-round garden interest and an elegant landscape presence.
