Malus ‘Flamingo’

Elegant Ornamental Form: Malus ‘Flamingo’ is a refined deciduous ornamental tree prized for its graceful shape, seasonal colour, and compact presence. Its naturally attractive branching creates a beautifully balanced silhouette, making it an exceptional choice for gardens where year-round visual appeal is important.

Striking Spring Foliage: New growth emerges in attractive shades of burgundy, bronze, and soft pink before maturing to rich green. The changing foliage provides a sophisticated display through spring and early summer, adding depth and contrast to mixed planting schemes.

Delicate Spring Blossoms: In spring, the branches become adorned with charming pink buds that open into soft, pale flowers. The blossom display creates a refined burst of colour and brings a fresh, romantic quality to the garden at a time when seasonal interest is at its peak.

Attractive Fruit Display: Following flowering, small ornamental fruits develop among the foliage, adding further seasonal interest as the year progresses. These colourful fruits complement the tree’s foliage and branching, creating an appealing transition towards autumn.

Exceptional Feature Tree: A superb choice for smaller lawns, courtyards, entryways, cottage gardens, lifestyle properties, and premium landscape projects. Its elegant scale makes it particularly versatile as a specimen tree, where its flowering and foliage can be appreciated up close.

Sun-Loving & Easy to Grow: ‘Flamingo’ performs best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil and regular moisture during establishment. A sunny position encourages strong growth, healthy foliage, and the best possible flowering performance.

Four-Season Garden Appeal: Combining colourful new growth, beautiful spring blossom, ornamental fruit, and an elegant winter framework, Malus ‘Flamingo’ delivers interest well beyond its flowering season. Its refined character and manageable size make it a sophisticated addition to both contemporary and traditional landscapes.
