Liquidambar ‘Gumball’

Compact Deciduous Growth: Liquidambar ‘Gumball’ forms a naturally rounded, dense canopy with attractive star-shaped green leaves. Its tidy, compact habit makes it an excellent choice for adding structure and seasonal colour without the size of a full-grown liquidambar.

Spectacular Autumn Colour: As temperatures begin to fall, the foliage transforms into brilliant shades of red, orange, yellow, and burgundy. The vibrant autumn display makes ‘Gumball’ a standout feature in the landscape.

Lush Summer Foliage: Throughout spring and summer, the tree carries a full canopy of fresh green leaves, providing attractive coverage and a pleasing rounded silhouette.

Ideal Feature Tree: A versatile choice for lawns, entrances, courtyards, streetscapes, and smaller gardens. Its naturally rounded shape works beautifully as a specimen tree or as a feature where a defined canopy is desired.

Sun-Loving & Easy Care: ‘Gumball’ performs best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil and regular moisture, particularly while establishing. Allowing sufficient space around the tree helps it develop its characteristic rounded form.

Beautiful Seasonal Interest: With fresh spring foliage, a dense green summer canopy, brilliant autumn colours, and an attractive winter framework, ‘Gumball’ brings year-round structure and colour to the garden.
