Acorus is a hardy, grass-like perennial known for its elegant, sword-shaped leaves and subtle, sweet fragrance. Often found in damp or marshy areas, this plant thrives in moist soils and adds a lush, calming presence to gardens, ponds, and water features. The foliage ranges from deep green to variegated yellow and green, depending on the variety, and creates a graceful, arching form that softens landscape edges. Though it resembles ornamental grasses, Acorus belongs to its own unique plant family and is prized for its resilience, low maintenance, and year-round visual interest.
