Bambusa ‘Wang Tsai’: The Graceful Clumping Bamboo

Introduce graceful movement and lush, tropical greenery to your space with the delightful ‘Wang Tsai’ Bamboo (Bambusa ‘Wang Tsai’). Unlike “running” varieties, this is a clump-forming bamboo, ensuring it stays in a tidy, manageable patch without spreading invasively.

Its elegant, slender stems, which mature from green to a lovely orange-brown, are topped with a cascade of dark green, tufted, fern-like foliage. This compact and beautiful bamboo is perfect for creating a serene, living screen or a decorative feature.

Why ‘Wang Tsai’ is a Great Choice

• Compact & Clumping: With a mature size of approximately 1.5m x 1.5m, it is the perfect size for smaller gardens and won’t become invasive.
• Graceful Form: Its elegant foliage and colorful stems look wonderful near water features or at the back of a garden border.
• Hardy: It is hardy to temperatures as low as -3°C in open areas.
• Winter Protection: For colder climates, planting under a canopy or in a sheltered spot will provide extra winter protection.
